Policies and Financial Assistance

Emporia Soccer Academy understands the need for affordability in our community and strives to do everything we can do to provide quality service to our players while also giving families the opportunity to have their child play at an affordable cost.  Club dues that are collected are directly used for the education and development of our players.  We are youth centered and our philosophy is representative of that.

There are no goals for larger expansion beyond our community nor connections to adult level leagues or clubs.  Our focus is on the youth We strive to use all our resources to help develop the youth of our community.

ESA runs as a non-profit 501c3 organization.  This does not come without expenses. Once a player has registered to play, ESA begins to invest resources and take on expenses on a player’s behalf. Some of these fees include but are not limited to: Local, State, and National youth soccer association fees, player registration fees and insurance, sports management registration platform related fees & services, merchant account fees, indoor and outdoor training space, tournament and league registration fees, office space, utilities, website, a variety of business related insurance fees, accounting and legal services, payroll service provider fees, compensation for administrative staff and coaches, continuing education for our employees and coaches, training and field equipment, postage and printing expenses, office supplies, youth scholarships, etc. It is for all of these reasons that we have this policy in place

Code of Conduct

Player Code of Conduct:

  1. It is a privilege to play soccer and to play for ESA.  As a player I will conduct myself accordingly.
  2. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
  3. Respect the game and its laws.
  4. Work for the betterment of the team and my teammates.  Give my best effort all the time.
  5. Show good sportsmanship before, during and after the game.
  6. Conduct myself with honor, respect and dignity.  Treat others as I wish to be treated.
  7. Help my parents and fans understand the laws of the game.

Parent Code of Conduct

  1. Support your child.  Help your child work through skill improvement and sportsmanship.
  2. Encourage and show interest in their team.
  3. Reinforce positive behavior.  Do not criticize your child's performance from the sideline and accept the results of the game.
  4. Teach your child to be gracious in victory and turn a defeat into a learning opportunity.
  5. Don't be a sideline Coach or Ref. Parents who shout and scream from the sideline often give inappropriate advice at the wrong times.  You and your child will enjoy the game more if you put some emotional distance between yourself and the field of play.
  6. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards the opponents and their families.
  7. Remember that we are here for one reason: the development of each child.  Not for us as coaches or parents but for each player.

24 Hour Rule

  1. As parents, coaches and players will strive to follow the 24 hour rule.  Often times after competition, emotions run high.  We will strive to reflect on those emotions but only after we allow 24 hours to pass.  This way we can have a clear mind and more productive conversations about how we will move forward.
